Nvidia just came straight for Apple's MacBook. At the Computex show, Nvidia and Microsoft unveiled a new laptop chip called the RTX Spark, also known as N1X. It pairs around 20 Arm-based CPU cores with Nvidia's Blackwell graphics, claiming performance roughly on par with an RTX 5070 with no separate graphics card needed, plus up to 128 gigabytes of memory in laptops as thin as 14 millimeters. For years, Apple's M-series chips have basically owned that thin, powerful, great-battery-life category, and Windows just could not match it. The big test now is battery life and how well these run older Windows apps.
