Speaking at the Bengaluru Space Expo 2026, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor said that NASA has officially invited ISRO to join the US Moon base programme.

Gor said the US is “going back to the Moon” and wants India to be alongside it on the lunar surface, potentially marking a major new phase in India-US cooperation in space exploration.

He also encouraged Indian space entrepreneurs to explore the US market, pointing to opportunities through American investors and the country's growing private space ecosystem.
