The United States has made a major new pitch to deepen its space partnership with India, with US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor saying NASA has officially invited ISRO to join its Moon base programme. Gor highlighted growing India-US cooperation in space, including the NISAR mission, human spaceflight and India’s expanding private space sector. The two countries are also exploring cooperation on spacecraft docking standards and astronaut training following the Axiom-4 mission. India is already a signatory to the Artemis Accords, which establish principles for cooperation in exploring and using the Moon and other celestial bodies.
