NASA astronaut Jessica Meir has shared breathtaking footage of the aurora australis, or southern lights, filmed from a SpaceX Dragon spacecraft orbiting Earth. The video shows vivid green ribbons of light dancing across the atmosphere in a rare and mesmerising display. Meir described the phenomenon as "ethereal" and unlike any aurora she had seen before, saying it appeared to snake directly beneath the spacecraft. The footage was captured while she was temporarily aboard the Dragon capsule during efforts to address an air leak on the International Space Station. | #FirstpostNews
