A shocking antisemitic hate crime on a New York City subway has sparked outrage after a Jewish woman was allegedly assaulted in broad daylight. According to police, 34-year-old Diana Smith targeted the victim with antisemitic slurs, including the disturbing claim that “Jews are eating kids,” before allegedly choking, kicking and shoving her to the ground. The victim says a clump of her hair was ripped out, and she suffered a concussion. Part of the incident was captured on video, leading to Smith’s arrest. The NYC subway attack, antisemitic assault, New York hate crime, Jewish woman attacked, hate crime charges, public safety concerns and rising antisemitism debate are drawing widespread attention online.
