NASA and the U.S. Coast Guard officially kicked off the America 250 military flyovers over Washington, D.C., celebrating the 250th anniversary of the United States' independence.

NASA's F-5 aircraft and fleet review led the aerial display over the National Mall, followed by U.S. Coast Guard helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft used in search and rescue operations.
