WATCH: French Farmers Join Firefighters as Wildfires Rage Across Var Region | AL15

French farmers are stepping onto the front lines as devastating wildfires continue to spread across France's Var region. Using tractors and large water tanks, local volunteers are helping firefighters refill emergency vehicles while helicopters battle towering flames from the air. The massive wildfire has already scorched thousands of hectares, forcing evacuations as extreme heat, strong winds, and dry conditions fuel the fast-moving blaze.

Dramatic footage from Montfort-sur-Argens shows helicopters dropping water over burning hillsides, firefighters racing to contain the flames, and farmers risking their own safety to protect homes, forests, and vineyards. Local residents describe the fire as an ecological tragedy and a threat to generations of shared history, while thousands of emergency responders continue working around the clock.

Authorities have deployed around 1,500 firefighters and multiple aircraft, but dangerous weather conditions continue to make containment difficult. Farmers, hunters, and local communities have united in an extraordinary effort to support emergency crews and defend one of France's most treasured natural landscapes.

Watch the latest wildfire footage, aerial firefighting operations, emotional reactions from local residents, and the ongoing battle against one of France's most destructive fires.
