Trump Emergency Warning Live | Message Shocks World Leaders | WORLD NEWS | TRUMP LIVE
WASHINGTON — President Donald J. Trump has declared a national emergency to secure the United States bulk-power system, signing an executive order that blocks the purchase, import, or installation of foreign-made electric grid equipment and software over cybersecurity concerns, particularly targeting potential digital backdoors from hostile nations. This defensive measure comes amid the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence data centers and follows a series of cyberattacks on critical water and energy infrastructure. Simultaneously, the U.S. Treasury has initiated 'Operation Economic Outcast'—dubbed an 'Economic D-Day' by Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent—imposing sweeping sanctions on over 60 global entities to isolate Iran's economy and cut off its oil revenue. In response, Iranian officials have warned of retaliatory actions that could disrupt shipping in the Strait of Hormuz, causing the Iranian rial to plummet past an all-time low of two million per U.S. dollar. Meanwhile, President Trump has escalated trade tensions with Canada by signing a directive to rename Lake Ontario as 'Lake America' for federal use, while downplaying intelligence warnings of potential Russian moves against NATO members following a rare Moscow visit by CIA Director John Ratcliffe.
