US President Donald Trump has dismissed a question about using nuclear weapons against Iran, calling it “stupid” and insisting there is no need for such a move.

Speaking at a White House event, Trump said Iranian forces are already “totally defeated militarily” following US strikes, as tensions continue to escalate. His remarks came amid Iranian missile responses targeting US positions in Jordan.

Trump also pointed to the relatively low use of US munitions in the conflict compared with other military operations. Meanwhile, critics, including New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill, and some military leaders have raised concerns about the lack of a clear strategy and the risk of the US becoming overextended.
