Trump’s War Machine In Turmoil! Army Secretary Driscoll Quits After Hegseth 'Clash' | Firstpost Live

A major shake-up is unfolding at the Pentagon as U.S. Army Secretary Dan Driscoll submits his resignation amid months of reported tensions with Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth. The move comes as the U.S. remains engaged in the Iran war, with thousands of American troops deployed across West Asia. Driscoll had raised concerns over Army readiness and pushed for faster acquisition of cheaper weapons. His exit follows several high-profile leadership changes under Hegseth, including the removal of senior Army commanders. Driscoll had also played an unusual diplomatic role in Russia-Ukraine negotiations. Another senior Army official, Dave Fitzgerald, is reportedly expected to resign. Gursshheen Gahllen brings you the report on Firstpost Live.
