Satellite imagery revealed the damage on the moon after a stray SpaceX rocket crashed into its surface on Wednesday, August 5. The images were released by the Korea Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) and Korea AeroSpace Administration, giving before-and-after views of the crash site. KARI said South Korea’s Danuri lunar orbiter “began observing about 30 minutes before the collision, passing through the collision point several times through orbital control, and conducted a total of eight observations.”
