NASA announced on October 14, 2026 (media advisory M26-081) that it will hold a news briefing on the Artemis program on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 2 p.m. EDT at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, streamed at nasa.gov/live.

According to NASA, the briefing will cover:
- Artemis III, a mission that will send four astronauts to low Earth orbit next year to test systems needed for future lunar landings
- progress toward returning American astronauts to the Moon by 2028
- longer-term Artemis goals, including missions near the lunar South Pole and an enduring human presence on the Moon

This is a plan announced by NASA, not a result. Nothing from the briefing has been announced yet.
