NASA is preparing to launch the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope aboard a SpaceX Falcon Heavy on August 30.

Roman has a mirror the same size as Hubble’s, but a field of view at least 100 times larger. NASA expects it to discover more than a thousand exoplanets through one survey, study billions of galaxies, and help scientists investigate dark matter and dark energy.

The mission is launching nine months ahead of schedule.
