The Indian Army is inducting new specialised drone warfare units called 'Baaz Battalions'. These units will be part of the Indian Army's Aviation Corps and will be responsible for carrying out intelligence gathering, surveillance and deep strikes using drones. These units will be equipped with a wide-range of quadcopters, FPV drones, loitering kamikaze drones and medium to large sized drones. Meanwhile, the Indian Army continues to create Ashini drone platoons and Divyastra platoons that will also be involved in any kind of drone warfare.
