Watch the full joint press conference as EU foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas and Irish Foreign and Defence Minister Helen McEntee speak after a high-level meeting of European foreign ministers in Wicklow, Ireland.

The discussions focused on the war in Ukraine, Russia's continued military attacks, European security, tougher sanctions enforcement, air defence support and possible new restrictions on Russian visas. Kaja Kallas said the European Union remains committed to supporting Ukraine and increasing pressure on Moscow.

The meeting also addressed reports of sabotage, cyber attacks and other security threats across Europe. EU leaders discussed strengthening Europe's response and maintaining close cooperation with international partners including Ukraine, the United Kingdom, Canada, Norway, Iceland and Switzerland.

Major developments in the Middle East were also discussed, including tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, security in the Red Sea, Yemen, Gaza, the West Bank, Israeli settlements, Palestinian elections and the future of Lebanon.

Kallas said EU ministers discussed the worsening humanitarian and political situation in Gaza and the West Bank, while Helen McEntee called for stronger international action to protect the prospects of a two-state solution.

The ministers also discussed the future effectiveness of EU foreign policy, possible reforms to the European External Action Service, the role of the European Commission and ways to improve decision-making across the European Union.
