Bank customers should plan ahead as branches are expected to remain closed for five consecutive days from September 26 to 30, 2026. The closure includes the fourth Saturday on September 26, Sunday on September 27, followed by a three-day nationwide bank strike from September 28 to 30 called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU).
Customers are advised to complete important branch-related work before September 26 to avoid last-minute inconvenience. While branch services may be affected during the strike period, UPI, internet banking, mobile banking and ATMs are expected to remain operational.
