Indonesia’s stock market is facing its sharpest crisis in decades after falling more than 11% in a single day, forcing trading to be halted. The trigger is growing concern over an MSCI review that could downgrade Indonesia from “emerging market” status to “stand-alone”, potentially removing it from major global indices.
